Pattaya stories

It was one of those nights when the moon and stars and weather all came together. It carried me away. I was magically transported back to the sixties by two electric guitars ably played by two brothers. The lead steel rhythm guitar was played by a local man named Akom, known locally as “crazy man”, probably because of his talent with the steel guitar. His brother named Athip played the base guitar. Percussion was done electronically. Their talented fingers on the guitar was noticed by everyone walking by the Central Festival Center at the shopping mall with Big C. The music stopped many people in their tracks as they went in and out of the mall.
The concert arena is located next to the dancing dolphins and the shooting water fountain. It all started as I was about to leave the mall at 6pm. The concert arena is located outdoors and the moon and stars were out. The weather was perfect. The music was fabulous and the Singha beer was cold. It really hit the spot. I had a choice of Pizza Hut, the Japanese restaurant, a local Thai kiosk next to the stage, the Golden Bird restaurant, KFC or a local Thai restaurant named Kao Sooay (“beautiful food”) which was spelled in The Thai language in neon above the door. These two musicians could really make those guitars whale and when Akom, the crazy man, would do his guitar solo it would raise the hair on the back of my neck. This out door rock concert left many smiling faces and thunder of clapping hands followed by whistles and cheers was deafening the talented duo finished a tune.
