A huge number of those passengers will be coming to the little fishing village of Pattaya. The cargo facilities have the potential to handle nearly six and a half million tones per year. That’s a lot of rice.
The airport has been thought out and planned very carefully. The airport is intended to have little environmental impact. Various environmental studies were carried out and strict international guidelines followed. Energy conservation is of paramount importance and daily wastewater is treated and reused.
The New Bangkok Pattaya International Airport will open on the 29th of September 2005. The airport will create many jobs in the future.
