Are You Tired ?

Fatigue is one of the most common complaints of people who visit a doctor.
If, however, your fatigue is not due to an underlying illness or drug side effect, lifestyle changes can make a significant difference.
1.       Eat a complex diet. Eat mainly complex carbohydrates such as whole-grain foods, as well as vegetables and fruit because they provide lasting energy and because they take a long time to digest and release energy slowly.
2.       Graze like a cow. Eat multiple small meals throughout the day because it stabilizes your blood-sugar levels, which will prevent the lows that make some people tired.
3.       Make fitness a habit. Regular exercise increases the amount of oxygen rich blood reaching your brain and muscles and increases the number of blood cells in the body. It makes you sleep better too.
4.       Switch you allergy medicine. All over-the-counter antihistamines may cause fatigue. Ask you doctor about prescription allergy drugs that don’t make you tired.
5.       Get enough magnesium. Most people do not get enough magnesium. Good food sources include whole grains, green vegetables, avocados, bananas, legumes, nuts and seeds.
6.       Energize with ginseng. Consider taking Panex ginseng (100) to 250 mg) or Siberian ginseng (100) to 300 mg) twice a day. Both have been shown to help fight fatigue.
7.       Socialize with people. You should avid isolation because it can lead to boredom and depression, both of which can cause fatigue. Join a club or become a volunteer.
8.       You must quit smoking. Smoking lowers the oxygen levels in your blood.
9.       Drink water. Water is what makes all of this work and avoid alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant.
10.    Live, love and laugh because if you do these things, it makes it harder to be tired.
